The Coalition for Fair Fisheries Arrangements supports the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA), which was declared for 2022 by the United Nations General Assembly.
With this, we aim to raise awareness and draw attention to the role that African men and women play in food security, nutrition, poverty eradication and the sustainable use of natural resources.
THE VISION
A world in which African artisanal fishers, fish farmers and fish workers are fully recognized and empowered to continue their contributions to human well-being, healthy food systems and poverty eradication through the responsible and sustainable use of fisheries and aquaculture resources.
