In June 2022, small-scale fishers from Africa, the Pacific, Latin America, Asia and Europe identified five areas of action for governments to offer a sustainable future for these communities by 2030.
The 35th session of the FAO Committee on Fisheries (COFI) will have a special focus on women and men in small-scale fisheries (SSF). SSF ask them to support them with concrete actions and pursue the dialogue on the implementation of the Guidelines for Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries.
